Applicant privacy notice
This notice explains how your information is handled when you apply for a role or register your interest through careers.successtutoring.com. It supplements the Success Tutoring privacy policy.
Who receives your application
Your application goes to the employer named on the job ad, which for most centre roles is the independently owned franchise business that operates that centre. For an expression of interest, it goes to the centre you choose. Success Tutoring head office operates this website and the recruitment system, and authorised head office staff can access applications for support, quality and compliance purposes.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number and the suburb or city you live in
- Your CV, optional cover letter, qualifications, experience and availability
- Your answers to the role's screening questions
- How you found the job (for example, a search engine or a referral link) — not your browsing history
Please don't include identity documents, Working With Children Check numbers, tax file numbers, bank details, or health information in your application. The employer will ask for anything they need later, through an appropriate process.
How it is used
Your information is used only to assess your application, contact you about it and, if you are successful, begin onboarding. People make hiring decisions. We do not use automated systems to reject applications.
Marketing
Applying for a job does not subscribe you to marketing. We will only contact you about future opportunities if you separately ask us to.
Security and retention
Applications and CVs are stored in a private, access-controlled system and are not publicly accessible. Applications, including CVs, are automatically deleted 12 months after they are submitted, unless the law requires otherwise or you are hired (in which case relevant information becomes part of your employee record with your employer).
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct your information, withdraw your application, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to any legal requirements. Contact the centre you applied to, or email info@successtutoring.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (Australia) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand).
